This fragrance feels like poetry written in velvet. It opens with a cool, luminous shimmer, peony softened by the wild tart glow of arctic bramble that gives the first impression of something delicate yet quietly magnetic. There’s a fresh almost crystalline beauty in the opening, but beneath it you can already sense a darker romance waiting to unfold.
As it settles, the heart becomes more expressive and emotional. Violet adds a soft, dusky elegance, while raspberry brings a subtle jewel-like sweetness that never feels playful or loud. The frankincense rises like a whisper of smoke through silk, adding depth, mystery, and a kind of sacred stillness that makes the whole composition feel refined and atmospheric.

Love this! It reminds me of Portrait of a Lady by Frédéric Malle, but with a greener and earthier feel. A cool scent if you enjoy sophisticated dark florals. Great longevity too.

One of my favourite scents. It works in crisp winter air and on a warm summer night. The patchouli stands out and blends well with the florals. I’m normally not a rose fan, but Shady Garden is an exception.
